A Filipino Catholic Devotional Community in Ewa Beach, Hawaii — Honoring the Miraculous Our Lady of Manaoag Through Prayer, Devotion, and Community Service
Our Lady of Manaoag Hawaii Devotees is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Filipino Catholic devotional organization located in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. We are a community of faithful Filipino-American Catholics united in our devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag (Nuestra Señora del Santo Rosario de Manaoag), the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary enshrined at the Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan, Philippines.
Our mission is to promote and deepen devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag among the Filipino-American community in Hawaii, to preserve and celebrate Filipino Catholic heritage and traditions, and to serve our community through prayer, charitable works, and fellowship. We seek to be a spiritual home for Filipino Catholics in Hawaii who carry in their hearts a special love for the Birhen ng Manaoag.
Founded by Filipino-American Catholics in Hawaii who brought their deep devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag from the Philippines, our organization has grown into a vibrant community of devotees who gather regularly for prayer, novenas, and special devotional events. We are proud to carry on the centuries-old tradition of devotion to Our Lady of Manaoag in the beautiful islands of Hawaii.
For centuries, the faithful have journeyed to the Shrine of Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan, Philippines, seeking her intercession and experiencing miraculous healings and blessings. We carry this devotion with us to Hawaii.
Our Lady of Manaoag is venerated through a miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus, enshrined at the Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan, Philippines. The image is believed to have been brought to the Philippines by Dominican missionaries in the 16th century and has been the source of countless miracles and blessings for the faithful who seek her intercession with faith and devotion.
Every Wednesday evening, our community gathers for the traditional Novena to Our Lady of Manaoag — nine days of prayer, Scripture readings, and petitions offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our novena is a time of deep prayer, community, and spiritual renewal, where we bring our intentions and needs before Our Lady and trust in her powerful intercession before God.
We celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Manaoag on May 8 each year with a special Mass, procession, and community celebration. We also organize special devotional events throughout the year, including the Flores de Mayo, the Santacruzan, and other Filipino Catholic traditions that honor the Blessed Virgin Mary and strengthen our community's faith and cultural heritage.
Beyond devotional activities, we are committed to serving our community and preserving Filipino Catholic heritage in Hawaii.
The first Saturday of every month, we gather for the communal praying of the Holy Rosary — meditating on the mysteries of Christ's life through the intercession of Our Lady of Manaoag.
Inspired by the healing tradition of the Manaoag shrine, we offer a prayer healing ministry for members and their families who are sick or in need of God's healing grace through Our Lady's intercession.
We organize charitable activities to support Filipino-American families in need in Hawaii, including food drives, relief assistance, and support for new immigrants and seniors in our community.
We celebrate and preserve Filipino Catholic cultural traditions in Hawaii, including the Flores de Mayo, Santacruzan, Simbang Gabi, and other beloved Filipino religious and cultural observances.
We nurture the faith and Filipino Catholic heritage of the next generation through youth programs, catechesis, and involvement in devotional activities and community service projects.
We organize pilgrimages to the Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan, Philippines, and support mission activities in the Philippines and other parts of Asia through prayer and charitable giving.
